Is Coffee Good for You?

Are you a coffee lover? Do you think coffee is good for your health? Well, we are sure most of you must be saying yes. And we do agree that coffee is good for our health in different ways. However, it is essential to take the right quality of coffee and that too in moderation. You must have heard about the research that talks about the lower risk mortality due to the consumption of coffee. Well, be it coffee or anything, excess of everything is terrible.

Consume coffee in the correct quantity

According to the research conducted in the recent past, it is being proved that coffee does more benefit to our health than harming our health. Some studies also say that non-coffee drinkers were more prone to heart strokes, heart attacks, and other such cardiovascular diseases than those who are moderate coffee consumers. Also, we know that caffeine consumption is not suitable for many people, especially pregnant women. The recommended amount for coffee consumption for healthy people is around 3 to 5 cups only. Or you can say no more than 400 mg.

On the contrary, few researchers say that the consumption of coffee is good for some of the high-risk diseases. Like, Parkinson’s disease, diseases related to the liver, including liver cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, and a few others. It is because some of the compounds that are present in the coffee have antioxidant properties.

Benefits of coffee

Helps in burning fat

On one side, we say that caffeine is not suitable for our health when consumed in excess. But when consumed in moderation, it can even act as a fat burner. Many studies show how caffeine has helped burn fat. In lean people, it can burn up to 29 per cent of fat, and in obese people, it can burn up to 10 per cent of fat. So, if you are obese or want to shred the fat from your body, start drinking coffee in moderation. It will help in boosting your fat burning process.

Coffee consists of healthy nutrients

Coffee beans do have a variety of nutrients present in them, which are suitable for our health. Well, those who drink coffee regularly must be getting enough of these nutrients. But for non-coffee drinkers, we must start taking one to two cups of coffee every day to add these nutrients. The nutrients are Magnesium, Potassium, Manganese, Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), and Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid).

Protects from diseases like Dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease

We all know that these neurogenerative diseases are affecting people worldwide after the age of 60 or 65. But do you know that drinking coffee can help in preventing these diseases? However, there are many other things also that are being recommended to avoid these diseases. But if you start taking coffee regularly, you will be able to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease up to 65 per cent and Parkinson’s disease up to 30 to 60 per cent.

Reduces the risk of heart diseases

Heart attacks and heart strokes have become quite common these days. But some studies show that drinking coffee can help reduce heart diseases risk in women up to a reasonable extent. However, many studies do claim that intake of caffeine is responsible for spiking blood pressure. But this doesn’t affect your heart health a lot. Especially if you are a regular coffee drinker, the chances of increased blood pressure due to caffeine are less. Coffee also reduces the risk of heart stroke by up to 20 per cent.

Final words

So, now you know how coffee is good for us, but only if we take it in the right amount. You can keep yourself away from several diseases by drinking coffee regularly and in a moderate amount. Try your hands on a good coffee brand and have a taste of it to stay fit and healthy.
